Course Introduction

On completion of this workshop, candidates will be able to identify and assess the risk of a potential spill, confine a spill should it happen and evaluate the incident to ensure a correct, safe clean up. They are also able to complete the required documentation in accordance with organisational procedures.

Learning assumed to be in place and recognition of prior learning:

  • Communication at ABET level 2
  • Mathematical Literacy at ABET level 2

On completion of this workshop, candidates will be able to:

  • identify and assess the risk
  • confine a spill
  • evaluate the incident and implementing clean up
  • complete the required documentation and reports.
2 to 3 hours (depending on the level of interaction and the number of questions that arise from the session)

This workshop is aimed at individuals entering or currently employed in any capacity where they handle or control dangerous goods.
