A comprehensive practical and theoretical programme in road safety and defensive driver training – Operate A Heavy Duty Vehicle – for Heavy Rigid and/ or Articulated/ Combination Vehicles.


Programme Overview

The purpose of learning is to ensure safe, professional operation of heavy duty vehicles including those consisting of a drawing vehicle and trailer/s. This programme will ensure that each driver can operate a specific vehicle or vehicle combination in accordance with legal, safety, manufacturer and other relevant requirements. Through knowledge gained, the driver will be prepared to react in the best possible way when faced with an unexpected situation.

Duration of Programme

3 Days – inclusive of a 2-hour practical assessment.
Proof of 100 driving hours required in order to achieve the accredited certificate
